The Sir Howard Morrison Centre launched an entertainment technology training programme for teenagers aged 14 to 18. We’re looking for people who are interested in working behind the scenes across all elements of shows and events, including sound, lighting, AV, stage mechanics, and stage management.
This training scheme is designed as a fun and engaging way to develop the skill sets of youth technicians across a variety of roles, and is designed to give you the skills needed to gain part time employment in the entertainment industry. We will provide theory and practical training, as well as opportunities for show specific experiences.
You will need to be available to meet once a month for approximately 3 hours for training. These will often be held in weekends or evenings (not during school/course time), but the specific days and times will be adjusted according to the events that are on at the Sir Howard Morrison Centre throughout the training programme.
